Upper Shire
A micro-doc — the client's message and the essence of their brand in a short, social-ready timeframe. Joanna and Barbara wanted to highlight their Hipcamp endeavour, and the piece captures their personalities and the experience they offer.
Transcript — Upper Shire
This whole Columbia County is full of beautiful countryside, farms, hills, rivers, waterfalls, the Taconic Range. And when you stumble upon a piece of property like this and you have an opportunity to take it over. Why not make it something that you can share with everybody else?
We're trying to figure out a way to share this and have it be, you know, an open space. Use and share. It's beautiful. The space. The land is beautiful. And people sometimes put fences up and don't let anyone. See the land see anything. And we don't really believe in that. And it was Barbara's daughter's idea. She mentioned something called Hipcamp to us, and we were like, what the hell is that? And we're old. And we looked into it and we decided, let's let people pitch tents up here. And then we just said, okay, let's expand upon this and let's do some kind of cabin. Let's put our Bell ten on a platform.
Let's put our Airstream. We have two vintage air streams and one Holiday Rambler. Each site has about an acre or two. You know, anything from one night to a week or whatever. We'll let you do a buyout if you're a wedding or a group or a retreat. Everyone's welcome. Everyone is welcome, everyone.
Come join us. Come join us. The rates are pretty reasonable from what we find compared to what you pay at it. Yeah, apparently we're a bargain. So. I tell Barb I want my ashes spread in the Upper Shire. If she wants to bother with that, that would be great. Oh, God. So.
