Roeliff Jansen Park

I worked on fire and have lived on firearms all my life, so I'm used to this. But it was parked my home. I moved here and worked on this when it was a fire in 1981. Been home to us so long that just means the world us to be here. People bring their children here to enjoy the outdoors.

And of course, everybody walks their dogs here. And that's a beautiful thing. You know. This park is is really important to everybody who lives in the area. My dogs grew up in this park. I've had events in this park. It's really the heart and soul of why I'm in Hillsdale. People come here to go walk to these trails. There's three miles of trails on here. They all love just the ambiance of the whole park is beautiful. And, you know, it's something like a lot of people take for granted. But I think the world of this park, we got the hilltop marked for events. You got a playground down here for the children, and then the road streams, you know, and we see a lot of people and enjoy it.

Events, weddings, the farmer's market. There's so much this park has to offer. Is this. We're really, really blessed and lucky to have it. Well, I hope that the farmer's market and other events keep coming here and carrying on, because that'll keep the park going. If people, you know, come and donate. There's so many volunteers help start this park off and they just wanted to keep going.
